Minamishima – Food is the hero.

Tucked down a quiet one-way street in Richmond is Minamishima, the most elevated Japanese dining experience in Melbourne.

Our goal was to communicate Chef Koichi Minamishima’s very traditional approach to sushi and complement the beautiful, elegant surroundings of the restaurant’s interior.

Minamishima was named Restaurant of the Year at The Age Good Food Guide Awards in 2015, and in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2023 were awarded 3 hats – a prestigious honour shared only by restaurant icons Brae and Vue de Monde!
